“I really like how broad Creative Business is and that we get to work with real clients. It really helps us understand the industry and gives insights into how things actually work in real life. I especially liked the marketing module when we worked with a music label from Groningen developing a marketing plan for a new artist who was planning to release her new album. The programme is so broad that it opens up many different doors for the future and means I can explore lots of different areas of my creativity.”
New path, new inspirations
“My RUN-EU journey was quite unexpected and my decision to do the programme was made really fast. I’d heard about RUN-EU during the minors week NHL Stenden organises. The minors week is a chance to find out what minors you can do and where in your third year, but RUN-EU is something different. It offers short advanced programmes that you do on top of your studies – the topic doesn’t even have to be directly related to what you’re studying. My friends and I started looking into the programmes and when one of my friends got into a programme and said how happy she was with it, I decided to apply as well. I opted for a project that covered a new area for me, something I don’t do here at uni but that I thought could be an interesting path to go down. It was a programme looking at landscape design called ‘Living Playground Portugal’ and it was truly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I got so much from it! Besides gaining knowledge related to my studies, I had an amazing trip to Portugal, met people from different countries, explore new cities and had a brief experience of what an exchange programme is like. The best thing that will always stay with me is probably the connections I made there. And it was my first solo trip. That made the trip quite different from the start. I learned new things about myself and it’s inspired me to do more solo travelling.”
